Has anyone seen the Purple Haze vette in this months Vette magazine? Its an all carbon fiber body with ground effects :smash: , its an awesome looking ZR1 Vette. Its also got 560 ponies under the hood
Then I saw the red "Corvette with an attitude". That car is flat out awesome. My mind is made up. Torch red with the kit.

Thanks, i haven't seen another one like it on the road. (in my area anyways) I just got it in Nov. My first vet. I can't believe that i "stole" it for only $15k. And that's including a 2yr extended warranty, bumper to bumper.
I have a link to the Greenwood site on my website. Give them a call.
IMHO, I don't like them but I've seen some that look O.K. Not to offend anyone here but at a car show one time I was just messing with this guy and just jokingly said, "If you wanted a Firebird why didn't you just buy one". Man, that guy got P.O.'d. It was a joke, lighten up!
i bought it with 62k miles on it. that's about 10k a year it was driven.
after i had bought it i happened to get a peek at the dealers paperwork and discovered that the dealer got it through a repo. all they had to do was to payoff the $8,000 loan balance. so they almost doubled their money selling it to me for $15. (wish i knew this when i was negotiating with them)
my Greenwood wing is actually attached by 2 metal bars to the frame of the car. so any functional use of the wing is transferred directly to the frame. most other kits only attach the wing to the rubber bumper. so any functional use of the wing gets wasted by the "flexing" of the rubber.
Yeah, I remember seeing that kit now and hearing that it was a functional wing. Looks like you're just about ready for that all out top-speed run that club in Dallas has in West Texas!
I wouldn't feel bad about the price, that's the dealer's job to find cars that he can turn a quick profit on. Still quite fair ... I imagine you could still turn it over for a small profit if you wanted, so long as it isn't a salvaged title or anything like that.
You mentioned you want to raise the rear a little. I haven't used the kit, but the Corvette retailers (MidAm, Eckler's, Zip) sell a kit that makes it easy to LOWER, just a longer bolt. I imagine the reverse is just as simple. If your's has been lowered, it may already have the kit, you just need to have it adjusted the other way.
I like my ground effects. Many of the kits I do not like, but the one on car looks good to me. Although, right now I have the stock ones back on the car to change the look a little. Just something different.
I like your hood ornament better.
In all honesty, I really don't like any of the C4 ground effects kits I've seen.
Hello Gents,
Cecil 1 and LT4MIke have two of the the most awesome Vettes that I have ever seen. I was wondering if anyone has used or happen to know about the kits from makers other than Greenwood such as C5west ,ACI or any others. I do like to Greenwoods and would have no problem going with their kit.
Thanks in advance,
