as requested...my vette was cold so this is idling at 1500 RPM...and toward the end I give it a little gas. At one point I shift into reverse for a second just to get the RPM down.
I'm just an old Drag Racer been doing it 40 something years and I do know a little about exhaust and have a little common sense.
A x pipe equilizes pressures buy mixing both sides at a time one side is firing the other is getting rid of exhaust gas so by chambering them in a big chamber before continuing back you reduce the back pressure and in the case of Corvettes the resonation effect of the exhaust .
I paid $89.00 for my 3in in and out but I see where C 6 is $ 300.00 bucks ! WOW talk about a Corvette tax !
Any way I hope this explains why an x pipe is a good investment !
