So there are "salad shooters" and "saw blades," so what do we call the double slotted 89's?

You mentioned some potential sizes(rim width, diameter and offsets) while shopping. What was the final build? What's for tires?

Damn good looking - I was rather curious as to what you might have "up the sleeve". Are the GS A-molds gone or standing in the corner? The saw-blades?

The wheels are HRE 560Rs in 18-9.5 and 19-11.5.The tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 275-35-18 and 325-30-19.The GS A-Molds were sold and are now in Germany, the Saw blades were NOS when I got them and they arent going anywhere.I did a minor brake upgrade, very minor.A nice set of GS calipers would have looked perfect behind the face of those wheels, looked but couldnt find a set so I just cleaned mine and went from there.Notice anything about the front pads?Installed new Bilsteins, tires and wheels. The wallet is so dry it turned to powder.

That's a great set of wheels and tires. HREs are like jewelry so priced accordingly. They compliment your Corvette perfectly. Very nice!

Just don't like flat black wheels of any style! They look like they belong on a Coal Truck.

LOL Believe it or not I agree with you. Swore I would NEVER put all black rims on my cars ESPECIALLY flat black! Then I went and had my car wrapped in Blue Chrome and flat black was almost a nessicity to give it the proper contrast.

They are not permanent flat tho, it's just Plasti -Dip ed. So I can return them back to the original gloss black with polished lip anytime I choose.

Rims make or break these cars. In saying that anything over 19's are too big for the body style. I loved the look of my C5 Z06 rims on my 88. They fit perfect!!

The right 19s or 20s can look good. The wrong 17s can look bad too.
