Default Headlight Question

I know these cars are famous for the bushings going bad but I was wondering if this is what my problem is.

My drivers side HL will not open all of the way and I can't even open it up manually. As I turn the **** it seems to bind up. For what it can turn the **** spins fine. Thanks for the help.

My guess is the delran bushings have ground into powder and maybe impinging on the drive gear. Or the drive gear has broken, or the motor has bound.

See pics 13-15 to see what im talking about.

You've got a '95, right. Yup. Delrin bushings in there.

Are you hearing a characteristic "thunk-a-thunk-a-thunk!" noise six to eight seconds after the lamps finish closing? That's a sure sign of bushing failure, too.

When you do replace one side, do the other. If one set of bushings has failed, the other side is sure to start acting up shortly.

That is what I was planning on doing, why have to do it months down the road, especially in the winter time.
