If you just want to seal it and not paint it Thompson's water seal is a good product.

If you plan to put a nice epoxy treatment on your shop floor, you may want to hold off and do some research first. Some of them won't adhere well on a sealed floor, unless you do a lot of prep work first. Just something to consider.

The big question is: Did the concrete guy install and effective .010 or thicker vapor retarder under the slab, on top of the aggregate?
If not, you dont need a sealer, you need a mitigation system if you plan to install something with limited permiability on top of the concrete ie: epoxy paint, epoxy coating, resilient floor covering etc.

You do know to not seal it until it is dry right.
I assume the concrete guy told you how long to wait?

If the choice is a sealer or epoxy.........look into the epoxy.
Not hard to do and you may be happier with it in the long run.

If you are going to use an epoxy you will have to wait until the concrete is fully cured. (The installer can tell you how long that will take, or the epoxy should tell you how long). In any event the key to a good finish is preparation. If you plan on parking cars on it before you do the job you might want to pick up some old carpeting to put under the cars until you're ready for the epoxy. It will make the prep that much easier.
