Default Good Week for Waves and Compliments

I had my first wave or really a nod the other day. As I was driving home from work I had the roof off. I saw my friend and his wife walking and made a u-turn to talk to them. As I was talking I noticed a black TA coming from the opposite direction. the guy driving gave me a nod and revved his engine.

The other night I needed to get gas. I went to B's to get gas but they had just closed, so I needed head over to Wawa, they had the best prices. Well as I was driving pulled up along a c5 and again I got a nod. Then when I was at Wawa I got a compliment from a slightly older guy who said he loved the lines of my vette. I thanked him

Then the other day as I was stopped at a light I got another compliment from a young kid, again I said thanks.

o overall it was a good week, the only thing that could have made it better would have been compliments from hot women.

So it looks like the wave is still alive.

cool, I think even just by the looks of this forum, more people are getting in to the corvette culture again, rather than just being the guy on the block witha vette.

IMO

True, but I consider a nod a form of a wave.

I agree with you. It's a good feeling when someone waves or gives you the nod

its still a form of acknowledgment that goes betond the casual glance. I take what I can get. Still love the nice car comments from others. make you feel good about your ride. My neighbor *waay down the street neighbor* followed me home one day just to get a good look at the vette. ooh and ah comments ensued. Its just nice to get acknowledgment for something you take pride in owning and working on. Thats just me tho

Got both my '61 and my '86 coupe out this week after a long winter. The '61 always gets the waves and looks, but now so does the '86. I took it to church this morning and even those people liked it. Years ago the '86 did not get the attention it is getting now. I bought it new and like it better each year.

Yes, even "THOSE" people. The church crowd in my town tend to drive generic, standard, ordinary vehicles. I am the only Corvette owner in the fairly large congregation. However, they still talk to me about the Corvettes I own in a very positive way.
