Took my 1993 Ruby on a 100 mile round trip up the GSP to visit my mom for Mother's Day. After about 30 miles of 75 mph criusing my check engine soon light came on. Parked the car for a couple of hours ,drove to dinner and back 10 miles, no light. On the way home about 20 miles of cruising light back on. Has this happened to anyone or any clues what is wrong?

Reason: forgot a word
Well, if it is the O2 throwing codes, that would most likely be due to something else (EGR possibly) creating an unstable mixture and a closed loop mode, not necessarily that the O2 sensor is actually bad.
Stoppedat Auto Zone to see if they could read my codes today. Since my corvette is older than 1996 they could not read them. The Manager said the same as you guys, O2 sensor or EGR. J.C. Whitney has a 1984-93 Gm code reader for $27.99. Will this one work? Thanks for your help.

Same thing happend to me I ran the codes and it ended up being oil temp sensor. This is located on the bottem of the block by the oil filter. Now there are two oil sensors on a 95 I don't know about the 93, I would say so being that it is an LT1.
