I have an '84 Cross Fire. Yesterday I went to the BP Station to fill-up because they are the only station that has premium without ethanol. However, the sign said it now had ethanol, thanks to our Florida Governer.
The attendant at the station has a '65 Vet and said he has gone to SHELL because their scientists have now added nitrogen to the fuel and it counter acts the ethanol effects on the engine.
I don't know if this is true but I did see the sign at the SHELL Station advertising the new nitrogen additive. Thought this was worth sharing.
I have used E-10 and have not noticed any performance difference except my milage is down about 15 percent.
On newer cars you may not notice a difference in performance but on older FI cars like the L98 its pretty obvious. They just werent designed to run that kind of fuel. Mine spits and misses at idle with ethanol in the fuel.
