Welcome to the Forum. Your questions on the car is so broad, difficult to answer. If you have specific concerns, try using the search function above....use "advanced search"...general C4 section which should cover both General and Technical....read to your hearts content. Lots of great information here.
Since i have never owned a sports car, what octane gas should i use? I was told its fine with the lowest, but have heard other say you have to use the higher ones. I put the lowest in, hope it doesn't do damage. Something rattles when i accelerate, so its ether a loose exhaust, or the engine starving for better fuel. Let , me know for sure.
P.S.-probably a newb mistake on my part
Describe what the rattle sounds like and where exactly it's coming from. If it's in the front, you may have something loose, or the exhaust if it's underneath you. If it was too low of octane fuel, you would hear little bells chiming under the hood.

I've only used 93 octane in my 96. Here's a link to what others use:
It should run just fine on regular gas, as long as your knock sensors are working. Pinging on regular gas would indicate a potentially serious problem. I would look real hard at the cats for a rattle problem. Congrats on the new car!
Do use syntetic oil
Do use the CF search engine for all tips you may need.
