If it's only a bad "Y" pipe it will run anywhere from $150 to $200 installed. It all depends on how the pipe is installed (clamped = cheaper; welded = more expensive). You also have to consider the condition of the mufflers. If they are in poor condition, they will probably not be able to be reinstalled and you will need to replace the entire exhaust from the "cat" back. I would take the car to a reputable exhaust shop in your area that is familiar with Corvettes, they should be able to give you all the info you need. I would say that the complete exhaust system from the "cat" back could run anywhere from $600 for a stock replacement to $1,200 for a high end stainless steel system. Many Forum members run exhaust eliminators which any good shop can install for much less, but the car will also be much louder. It's your choice.
