Default Rich idle
My friends 94 vette auto coupe has become very rich at idle and engine shakes. Black smoke out of exhaust.When revved up it cleans out and is responsive until it drops back to idle.Any ideas

It needs to be hooked up to a scanner.. Just off hand it may be one of the O2 sensors, but a scan will tell a lot more...WW

Maf might be an issue or the injectors could be dirty. If they have never been out, why not take them out for a cleaning and testing? Can't hurt. I do it every few years as PM.
