It looks like a 1965, definitely ‘65 hub caps and Corvette emblem on the rear. However it has the
egg crate grill that was a 1966 option, as well as the tail lights. However I have seen the reverse
light's on the 65 model year.

It's too close to mine, I'm glad that they didn't show it "hit". Hopefully it was pieced together car.

ding-ding-ding, we have a winner. if you look closely at the corvette emblem (right side deck above the tail lights), it's clearly the style used on the 1965 model..the 1966 sctipt was an elongated vertical style...

BTW, over 65% of 1965 corvettes had the Z01 option, comfort and convience group, that included back-up lights, and i once read a press release indicating it was a 1965 corvette.

I guess Star Trek is one reason I love my 87 and its Digital Dash. It looks very much like a console on a Star Ship. I love the bars for the Speedometer and Tachometer. I like to think of the Speedometer as Warp drive indicator

I grew up with Kirk, Spock, McCoy . Then Picard, Riker, Worf. I never did get into DS9, but I do love Voyager and like Enterprise. Of all the Captains, Janeway is my favorite. I think she is hot btw

No, it's not a 65 - it's a 66. There are two much clearer clues than the Corvette emblem. The first is the egg crate grill which they clearly show with the early head on shot. Then the rocker panels also show the more heavy chrome laden look versus the heavy black strip from the 65.

Upon further observation - I'm not sure anyone will be able to tell if the car is a 65 or 66. Here's why:
Definitely 66 - egg crate grill, rocker panels
Definitely 65 - Wheel covers
Unclear (to me) - style of rear emblem, existence of hood emblem

Even though I own a C4, when the word "Corvette" is said, the image that forms in my mind is one of those beautiful old Sting Rays from the mid 60's. Beach Boys music, Surfer Girls and Sting Rays

still going with the 65 - the only styling cue i can see for a 66 is the grill - everything else points to a 65.

this is on-line...

http://memory-alpha.org/wiki/Corvette

http://www.autoshowbiz.com/archives/...er-captai.html

http://www.corvetteblogger.com/2008/...ar-Trek-Movie/

all links reference the 1965 model...

if you look at the birds-eye view of the car in the last link, it looks like there is no hood emblem, another cue that its a 65. that 66 grill, and rocker panel trim does pose a problem, but if i were a betting on it, i'd go with the 65.

that thing has a 66 grill because nobody in the 23rd century is reproducing 65 grills -

65 or 66, that thing doesn't look too bad for a 200 year old ride -

what planet are you from? 61 is c1.

No vents on the hood, no vents on the side-- I agree, probably a 65 or maybe 66.

A year later, I'll say it again. It's a `65.
