Cure for a soft bottom
As you know, the two straps that support the seat cushion lose their tension over time. I've hear of forum members resorting to placing a thin sheet of plywood down there to firm up the feel of the seat. Here's what I came up with, and it works perfectly. Sewed up two non-stretchable upolstery straps and some 2" wide velcro. This loops through the existing retainer clips over top of the old straps. When installed, you get firmness but still enough 'give'. Any upostery shop could whip these up in a few minutes. What do ya think?
