Default Normal water operating temp

What should the normal water operating temp be on a 93. What should the max be. On runs in traffic in Florida the gauge is enough to make me nervous. Been as high as 221.

That's about right. These Glass Wonders are built to run hotter.

Normal for any vehicle that uses an electrical fan(s) is whatever temperature that grounds the Relay(s) and from there a 5 to 6 degree drop. If it doesn't drop or climbs with the fan(s) running, there's a cooling system problem.

That's about normal, my '95 runs 200 to 230 in traffic.

Don't worry, the "check gauges" light will come on when it gets too hot.

I concur.
My 1995 with the a/c on runs between 195 and 230.
I use the digital guage on the dash to be sure, the analog tends to read higher.

Some of the members have had luck with lower temp thermostats, the wetter agents that lower coolant temps and manual switches to kick their cooling fans on. But I agree that this is the normal operating temp for the C-4. Of course you could check in front of the radiator for debris also.
