Default 1989 sat all winter

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Uncle has 1989 C4 that has been in shop for a month. Prob: Car not driven all winter.....no fuel stabilizer..started in spring seemed
to run OK....while out he punch it(full throttle)......then parked it...when he started back up didnt run right....He put some stabillizer
in and about 10 miles from home car sputtered and died and would not start. He had towed to shop(mechanic). First thing was
suggested fuel sock at minimum and in line fuel filter. Guy changed the filter and said that that model did not have a fuel sock(strainer)
in tank.(wrong)....
Here is a short list of what the guy has done: ECM, Injectors, EGR and who knows what else.
He says it runs OK then all of a sudden will die or bad idle.
I still think fuel pump, relays, strainer, fuel are to be checked.
Told him to take it to a dealer or at least some one that knows what they are doing.

What do you all think??????
Thanks
Wayne

Fuel pump ignition module/coil. Possibly bad distributer pickup.
