Default exhaust question

Does anyone have any sound bytes of a factory center resonator with muffler eliminators on it, or know where I might find them?

I've got a few videos with no mufflers and the stock resonator on.

But then i'm worried i might have labeled one of the videos where i didn't have the resonator in "no mufflers" so here's what i have.

For sure no mufflers and stock resonator.

This one is labeled "muffler eliminator" so i'll assume the resonator is still on.

And this is what it sounded like without the resonator. It's labeled as No mufflers or resonator so i'll assume that's correct.

The bottom two might help you the most. They clearly show the difference between no resonator and with...

The first is a different camera so it's hard to hear, the second seems okay...

sounds sick! I have been throwing the idea around in my head to delete the mufflers and go straight. Still thinking.

For less then $200 at a muffler shop i don't think there's anything better.

If you have the money i'm sure there's better systems out there. But for me this one was perfect.

In my province we have Air Care, its an emissions test and they check for mufflers, cats ect... So I would have to make mine interchangeable with my "emissions exhaust set". Meaning more $$money$$ ???? Or would it be as simple as flange the 2 pieces of pipe? I'm still learning

Mine sounds pretty much the same with 2-1/2" front y, free flowing cat and eliminators. The larger front y got rid of the infamous drone but is much louder. On longer highway trips it gets to you a bit until you hit a light and then punch it. It is definitely an attention getter....

I have to say when talking to people in my car....it can sometimes be difficult.

There are certain RPM's where the car resonates more so you have to speed up/down or shift to find that spot where it doesn't vibrate as much.

That's why if you had the money i'd do a nicer setup. Not sure if they have the same problem mine has but i have a feeling they don't. Get headers, high flow cats, keep the resonator, and some nice mufflers on there.

If you just want a cheap setup...then this one works fine.

I agree, eliminators and factory resonator sounds great and is probably the best improvment for the money as far as making the car sound awesome!

I now have a completely new Long Tube exhaust set-up, but had elims on the back of mine for years before going to the new arrangement. I paid a guy at Midas Muffler $40 to weld in two S/S pipes where the mufflers were.

It cost me around $2,000 for my current exhaust system. You tell me which is better price for the sound you hear?

How do you embed from streetfire?

This is my Tpi with the muffler delete. It drones like crazy, and it's hard to talk inside to cabin when you drive, but it sounds nice from the outside.
