Do a search in the Tech section for "C4 Rear Suspension Adventure". In section 3 of the article, the fourth photo shows a long bolt going though a red bushing. The nut on this bolt is what adjusts the height of the car in the rear. Height should be the same on both sides, and the rear should not sit lower than the front (measured at the jacking points or fender lip).
You can look under rear of car for the bolt with the cotter pin through it, if both pins are still in place and the castle nut is adjusted down over the pins you have other issues causing the car to sit lower on one side. You could have a rear spring issue, I believe these were composite springs and can delaminate.

This is quite common.
I asked whatzisname...the guy who charges $15/minute on the phone....about this. His answer: "anything within 3/4" is within factory specs."
I adjusted it out with lowering bolts, but not everyone has reported being able to do the same.
