Default Do not use "dependable auto shippers"

For goodness sake do not use Dependable Auto Shippers. I got a quote from them. They were high, weren't 100% enclosed, and wanted 3 weeks after picking up a car to deliver it. They kept calling me and sending me email every day wanting to pick up the car. I told Silvia that I did not want them not to pick it up, and they did anyway! I had told the P.O. that Exotic Car Transport was going to pick it up, but he wasn't paying close attention and let the first truck to arrive take the car.

I called DAS within 3 hours of them taking it that I wanted them to bring it back. I was put on hold, for 40 minutes. I argued with them until 5 PM and then they said they didn't have any drivers who could take it back. I told DAS I'd report it stolen if they didn't return it. They said they'd bring it back in the morning, but it wasn't back until 3PM. When they brought it back it was a mess! It looked like it had been stored in a woods. It was muddy inside and out, and covered in leaves and twigs. There is also a new chip in the hood.

Use Exotic Car Transport. They are top notch, and no more expensive. They are 100% enclosed, and are very quick to deliver. I've used them twice and have been thrilled both times.

Default I've used Horseless Carriage out of Paterson, New Jersey.

It's very easy to find REAL reviews on-line and Horseless Carriage is always rated above any other company I've seriously looked at. Some of the things that occur with many other shippers are absolute nightmares (waiting weeks for delivery, damage, etc.). HC has great equipment, fine people that handle that equipment, and do the shipping for many very large events around the country. They handle the most expensive exotics on a regular basis, so please check them out at http://www.horselesscarriage.com/enc...uto-transport/. You'll be glad you did. I've always had my vehicles arrive quickly and as to care, they have always delivered my purchases in top-notch condition. Their prices are very competitive and you get what you pay for. They offer other services such as storage, as well, so they're very much worth taking a look at.

Good Luck,
Dom

My experience with car shippers has been negative. What I have found in most cases when you call a company you are really dealing with a front man who finds a trucker who is going where you want you car delivered. Then the trucker picking up you car will take what cars are paying the most. If a customer is paying $900.00 that car will be picked up first. If someone is paying $600.00 that car will sit at the depot for a while and will be pushed around till another trucker decides they want to take it. This leaves more chance for damage and you will have to wait longer. My Corvette was shipped by a moving van ( Verity Moving Co ) which picked it up in Florida and practically shipped it to my front door unscuffed and in only several days. They took great care to not damage it by loading it on the truck with a flat bead. Sometimes the way you least expect you car to be shipped may wind up being the safest.

Horseless Carriage has their own drivers and great, well kept equipment. The drivers go through substantial training and I've witnessed them doing their job a number of times. Before anyone is handed long over the road routes, especially handling some of the most expensive of vehicles, they have to prove they're ready. It's very much worth taking a serious look at them AND THAT'S NO -->

I have also heard some bad stories about DAS. Be careful out there.

Maybe I just got lucky but I used DAS (Dependable Auto Shippers) when I had my 350Z transported from Dallas,Tx to my home here in Ca about 2 years ago. Not a single problem/complaint with them.

I believe Roger's Corvette Center in Orlando uses Exotic.
