While repairing the horn contacts on my 1990, I noticed what appears to be some side play with the column. Possibly from a previous owner pulling on the wheel toward the 8:00 position. Any one else experience this problem or aware of how to make a repair?
You might get lucky and just need to tighten the 4 torx bolts. If not you will most likely need to replace the housing because the pivot pin holes are worn. You can get a used housing from a junker, or you can buy new. I got all new parts from this site. http://www.corvettesteering.com/index.html Tom Reina is very helpful!
