what to do :( ?????

Lots and lots of hours are spent training car sales people in ways to reel in customers.
What reeeaaallly works nicely (for me) is having the financing arranged prior to going on the hunt. That removes a huge bargaining chip from their hand and it is easier to get down to cases - really cuts to the chase, I find.
Another helpful tool is researching the market value of my trade-in - what it is currently going for (condition considered), as well as the car I'm looking to purchase. The more info on that the better! Then, along with my financing in my "back pocket", I bring my trade-in for them to look at, and ask them for their "out the door" price on the car, or make them an out the door offer or counter offer - whichever the situation requires.
That way I avoid all that back and forth
