What size are the bolts used to adjust the rear ride height. I know that the ones to lower the rear are about 10" in length, but what is the diameter. Is it 12mm or 14mm.
No one? Please help. I am doing U-joints and bearing right now and would like to replace these bolts while I'm in there. I am tired of the 4x4 look at the rear.
How accurate is your "eyeball measurement" skills??
12mm is .4724 or just under 1/2"
14mm is .5512 or just under 9/16"
You may be able to use one of these fractional sizes through the bracket and spring to accomplish the lowering. Be sure to use Grade 8 (or 10.9 metric) with a high grade all metal locknut, not Nylon insert locknut.
Thanks for the input. My problem right now is that I am at work and near a bolt distributor house. My vette is 15 miles away. I was trying to get an answer so that I might go to the distributor today and get what I need instead of having to drive up here tomorrow. Does anyone know for certain what size they are. I'm to stupid in the mornings to remember to bring them with me. :cry
