I have a 94 lt1 with 57,238 miles on it. A couple weeks ago it started having a rough idle, and under 2,000 rpm spark knock, stumbles, just runs poor. Only with hard acceleration. I have been through the FCM and still stumped. No codes thrown. What should I change first, or is there somthing else I'm missing? The other thing is some times truns over a little slow, most time fine. New battery.
A rough idle could be caused by a number of things. Check the throttle body and make sure its clean. Check for any vacuum leaks, that would cause a rough idle as well. I don't know if the LT1 uses a knock sensor, but a bad one could be causing your spark knock. A bad spark plug wire would also cause rough idle. I could go on and on, what have you checked, lets eliminate that and then concentrate on those things you haven't yet.
New injectors.
Just had the same problems with my 91 with 48K.
Fooled around with O2 sensor,Map sensor, temp sensor, injector cleaning, but someone on the forum said from the start to change fuel inectors. He was right on.
