Default Cowl Insert Covers...Any Comments?

What do you guys think of these things? Several of the aftermarket catalogs carry them and they are pre-cut, thin, spongy-type material that is placed in the cowl area.

The reasoning being to keep debris from getting in the cowl. My only concern would be limiting the breathing through the cowl, although it does not appear that that would be an issue. But you never know....

Does anyone have one of these, and if so, what do you think? Thanks. :)

I have one. It's a snap to install. The foam is very coarse so I doubt it would inhibit any air flow. I drive with the windows down/top off most of the time so I still get a lot of dust in the interior.

I have them on both mine and I think they are great. Gives a nice clean look to the cowl area.

Thanks for the replies. I am also looking for a nice, clean look in the cowl area and thought that the insert would do the trick.

Unfortunately, they are on backorder until this Friday, so I have to wait to order one until then. As long as you guys don't have any problems with the cowl breathing, I should be okay as well.

Thanks again. :seeya
