Good luck with your search Butch. Take your time and do your homework - it's a good time to buy. Look through the previous posts here - there have been several questions like yours already and a lot of good advice. Also, read through some of the "problem" threads, it will give you an idea of some common issues which arise.

Default C4

Bought my 96 LT4 new, have 41K on it now, have had no problems. Have only bought two new rear tires, fronts are still good, but 13 years old. Best gas mileage 30MPG on interstate at 70 MPH over 400 miles on trip. Oil and coolant changes by me, alignment and tire balancing by Goodyear when required.

Bought my 85 with 700R4 in 1992 from original owner. Todate have replaced water pump, heater core, brake booster/master cylinder, sparkplugs, tires, Bose radio speaker amps (2), window up/down plastic tape not the whole motor, 4 illumination bulbs for the dash, one illumination bulb for light at spare tire storage location, and also installed some metal reinforcement in door panel where you put your fingers to pull door closed.
