I've done a search but can't seem to find anything although I know this topic must have been discussed before. I'm replacing the dash (bread box, actually it's the map pocket) for the streamlined dash kit from Corvette Central. Anyone have any pictures of how it looks installed? Easy to do?
Thanks!

Do you intend to keep your original pad? If not, I found it a whole lot easier to just cut the damn thing off,
and access the factory screws from the backside. 10 minute job once I said, eff it, and started cutting. BTW, I used 3/M double-sided tape instead of the cheaper stuff that comes with the kit.

I regret cutting mine out of my 87. The guy I sold it to is trying to return to original. When he takes my home made flat panel off to replace the breadbox he is not going to be happy with my butcher job.

I wouldn't do it to a car where restoration is a possibility....

FrankM, I put one in mine. It looks great, I think. If you PM your email address, I'll send you a picture.
heres mine closed and open. i bought it from my local vette guy. guess it was on a vette he parted out. looks like a custom piece. i wrapped it in vinyl and painted it all black.
Andrews Woodworking Design in Michigan used to make a fully functional glovebox in various imitation wood grains....to replace the "Breadloaf".... I took it out a while ago....I still have it in the basement somewhere.
