Default Steering Wheel Cover?

I am looking for one of those slip over type covers that can be found at Autozone or Strauss (some of them are actually pretty cool looking) however it seems that they would be too large to fit over a C4 steering wheel. I haven't actually tried it yet but based on the look of it it seems that it would be too large. Is there a particular company that makes an inexpensive slip over cover or a certain size that I sould be looking for? Not looking for a wheelskins leather wrap or a replacement steering wheel for my '85. Thanks.

Don't know why you wouldn't want a Wheelskin, I think they look great.

My steering wheel was in okay shape- just looked worn after all those years. I did the Wheelskin- looked pretty good, but just didn't lay down as much as I wanted. Someone suggested on here using shoe polish. In particular, the liquid with the foam applicator on top- I think it's made by Kiwi. I skeptically did this- it now looks brand new! It's held up great for months. I also hit the hand brake leather that was looking tired- came out great!

You may also want to try black shoe cream. It is sold in small glass jars in most shoe care sections. Works great and last a long time.
