I went out to take the Vette to pick up my son and it wouldnt start! It cranks and turns over but wont start! I last drove it on Sunday! A few weeks ago I posted that when i went to drive it it flashed sys by the speedo and someone said it was the battery but never done it again after that one time! Do i need a new battery or what..Like i said it cranks and the lights and everything comes on please help!
check your battery with an voltmeter, but if it cranks strong that is strange.
put, a charger on it and try it, or jump it if it starts go buy a battery
are you getting fuel to the motor?
Could be a battery, I would try that first. It sounds more like an open ignition circuit, due to either an ignition module issue or a alarm system issue. You'll need to check the codes. Same thing happened to my 93, it was fine one moment and would only crank the next. Mine was a control module causing an open ignition circuit error. In the parts business so it was no issue...........
Just a guess but could be the resistor in your key for the vats system, if you have a spare key give it a try and see if it helps, could also be the ign switch, try the different key first. If it cranks it's not the battery.

If it were the VATS system, there would be no crank at all.
Ensure you're getting spark and if so, check for fuel pressure.
Checking spark is easy pull the #1 plug wire stick a screw driver in it place about a inch away from exhaust crank motor see if it sparks. For fuel pressure you will need a gague on the fuel rail
