1984 driver headlight

I took apart the motor and replaced the gears. The old ones really looked fine but I replaced anyway. Re-installed everything and I still have the original problem. The headlight does not want to come up. It looks like I am always winking at someone.

Any suggestions???? Thanks.

check the relays under the hood left front area mite have a bad relay

Which headlight rebuild kit did you use?

Could be the motor itself

I replaced the large white gear and brushes and also the smaller black gear. I got them from Ecklers. Also in the past sometimes the headlight would come up after a what seemed like maybe I hit a good bump or two. Last night though the headlight never came up after driving for about a half an hour. My thoughts are the motor but a suggestion was made to the relay. Has anyone else experienced this and what would be the best place to start. Thanks.
