Default C4 Fuel Feed/Fuel Return pipe replacement?

The fuel lines (feed and return) have rusted and are leaking in the gas tank area of my '93 C4. (the pipes between the filter and the tank) I have two questions:
  1. Can these lines be removed in one piece?
  2. Are replacements available for purchase?

Has anybody out there done this before? I could use some advice.

Well I've been thinking of running new rubber lines, or maybe bending up new metal ones. Then adding in a shut off valve by the filer and changing the stock fuel filter to a screen type cleanable unit. There would be line adapters needed for the fuel rail but it's pretty straight forward. Probably could reuse the stock line spacers/rub stops by the tank. They are very rusty on mine too! I sprayed them with rust converter when I got the car years back and they've haven't progressed much.

Replace them with -6 braided lines. You can get fittings to go from hard lines to braided from Jegs or Summit. If you want to replace the factory fuel line with another, you will have to piece it together to go over the rear suspension.

Regular fuel hose or something special? Thinking about the same. GM rubber fuel hose states on its container "not for fuel injected cars".

T384, this was an excellent suggestion (and well documented). I'm about 98% complete with repeating your solution.

One question though, after adding the fittings for the braided cable in the "Fuel Level Meter Assembly" area, what did you do with the rubber Filler Neck Housing? It doesn't look like it will fit any longer on mine?

Different pressure rating; injection hose usually has a reinforcement braiding.
Get EFI hose ; has higher psi rating .
