Default C4 Flasher Change

I bought a new flasher from Auto Zone and know it's behind the speedometer somewhere on the left side. I pulled the lower panel and can't fit my med. sized hand back there.....Is this the correct way to access it or do I need to remove the side panel on the dash? Help!

Your FSM should indicate the correct location
Mine is a 87 and its located behind the IP panel
i had to remove the bezel to access it,then try to pull it back
Now i did and i have flashers again.-

What the heck is the Bezel or an FSM. All I see is a bottom panel and side of dash panel.

FSM = Factory Service Manual
The IP is the panel in the middle of the dash that tells you the doors are open, service engine soon,etc.
The bezel is just the plastic trim.
Reading everything you can about your Vette, is fundamental if you don't want it to bankrupt you.

No, all You will need to drop the drivers side hush panel to get to it like you have. Pull the panel out of the car and out of the way. Then Poke your head up there and it is mounted on the back side of the skelton (Actually clips in). The Metal skelton is what the hush panel screws into. When the hush panel is out of the way you can reach under and pull the flasher unit out. You do not need to pull console side panel. The flasher until does not go and higher than the steering wheel column
