Searched for squeaks and everyone says this is normal However mine never squeaked until recently. Noticed going over a wide speed bump that passebger side squeaks. Is it possible for shocks to squeak? Shocks appear original since they appear to have Bilstein and GM name on them. Besides been wanting a reason to replace...
My 93 started squeaking so I put it up in the air and pulled the wheels off and lubricated everything that had a chance of squeaking and some that probably didn't. It doesn't squeak anymore but of course I still have the rattles.

Thats what I was thinking, I dont hear squeaks hardly ever, but rattles, now thats an entirely different story.
I did have one rattle that I found the cause of though, it was the bushings in the front, there was play in there, resecured it, and its been greatly reduced.
I dont think all of them will ever go away though. I will just always hate driving over rougher roads.
The worst squeaks/creeks that I get are when the underhood temperatures get high enough to trigger the second fan turning on. Going over the slightest bump or undulation in the road results in noisy creaking from the front. If I pop the hood and push up and down on the frame, it sounds like it is coming from the very front of the car. My mechanic says it is probably bushings. The creaking is annoying but I have been living with it--never happens when the temps are lower.
