during spring break my family and I are going t florida to visit the granparents. We are flyinging down...I asked my parents if we could ship the car down to Florida...After they stopped laughing they said No! I could drive own but it would take two days to get down there and i don't want to loose that much time driving for 2 days.
HAHAH
O well
I guess i will be Vetteless for the week

Will..... What part of Florida? Maybe we can get some of the local gang to pick you up and hit one of the Hooters around here. Lets us know. We're a friendly group of Florida corvette people.
Two days to florida,??? Dont take the detour through Canada, drive direct. :)
Just kidding. Really, depending on where you are going it should take 18 - 20 hrs.It will sure beat driving a rental down there, besides you never know who you may meet !!
Also the vette is really good on gas on the open highway.
Guys it's like 17 hours to Gainesvile(very middle of state), so from NJ it should take a lot more than that. So if he doesn't want to die driving down here, by falling asleep, it'll probably take him 2 days.
I am going to FLA for the 12 Hours of Sebring next month... and it takes me about 16 hours from Dover, DE to Sebring.
I will be driving from Columbus Ohio - some conference I am attending - then to Sebring... should be about the same time. 30 miles farther, but all on low use interstate...
Driving somewhat normal it's 19 hours to Tampa, approx 1100 miles. Do it Will, you won't regret it, I've done it so many times I can't even count that high(unless, I take off my shoes and socks) Actually I driven more than that, been taking the trip to FLA at least twice a year(one year I did it 5 times) for the past 15 years.

If I were you, I would not pass up the chance at a two day road trip, in the Vette. That'd be great fun!
