89 Stero System

Has any one had a problem with there bose system? For some reason this spring when we took it out and tryed using the radio a loud high pitched noise came on and almost sounded like a alarm was going off. In the pannel is says anti lock. Never said that before. Any suggestions? How much is it to get a new bose to replace them becasue i know that 2 of them always were going bad and had a cracking noise but never this loud alarm noise.

Almost everyone has a problem with the Bose system.I took it out.

Same here. I took it out and replaced everything with aftermarket stuff. All 4 speakers would only work about half the time. I would get a squeal out of the left rear sometimes.

Bose

This is an easy fix. Anything that says "bose" on it goes straight to the trash can. Get a new sound system. You will love it. Will make driving your vette so much more enjoyable. JMO.................

I used a Kenwood from stereo on line, you will need the install kit and an antenna extension. There are a couple of other mods I had to do , but I don't know if there is a difference between the years.
