On the Corvettes at Carlisle web site there are directions for a back way in, never tried it, not sure how useful it might be. Besides, it's fun to sit in a 3 mile traffic jam, watching your temp gauge climb ...but worth every minute when you get there. Best advice, get there early morning.

I would guess you are coming from NY?
If you take Rt. 78 to Rt. 81, get off at the Wertzville Rd. Exit (PA944)
Take the PA-944/ WERTZVILLE RD exit, EXIT 61.
Turn RIGHT onto WERTZVILLE RD/ PA-944. Continue to follow PA-944 for 7 miles.
Turn LEFT onto WERTZVILLE RD/ PA-944 go 3.2 miles
Turn LEFT onto SPRING RD/ PA-34/ PA-944. Continue to follow SPRING RD/ PA-34 for 4.3 miles.
This should take you to K St. where gate 3 is. If you go a bit farther to I St. there is another gate there.
Get there early if you want to park near the place. Gate 3 is for the Fun Display.

That way has worked the best for me the past few years. You still might hit a little traffic but early in the morning you should be OK

If you register for the Fun Display you need to get there before sunrise if you want a good spot down near the action. Wait too long and your up on the hill.
