Help needed-throttle cable
Is there a way to adjust the length of the throttle cable? My car drove fine last time I drove it, about a week ago. This morning it wouldn't crank without depressing the gas a little and once cranked it would not idle unless I held the pedal down. I left it home and drove my DD. I start checking into it and there is a bunch of slack in the throttle cable. I'd say about 1/2 inch to about 3/4 of slack. I have torn into the dash and dropped the column in order to get to the pedal and don't see anything that looks wrong. Under the hood it all looks good too. Does anybody have any experience with this? I don't understand how it could go from normal to having slack. I wonder what changed?
