Default Octane grade?

MY LT4 with hotcam and a PCM4LESS tune, get some hicks or dead spots on its way to the red line usually in the 5000-5500 rpms area. Sometimes it pulls hard all the way, and sometimes I gets these hicks on the way there.

I remember that when I had Bryan to do the PCM, I marked the box with "Premium". Then i just got the news that the octane ratings in Europe and US are different. When I fill up with 95 here in Denmark, it corsponds to 90 in the US.

Now would that have any real big impact on the performance of a Lt4 with mods?

(I know, I can just go fill it with higher octane gas, but I have to wait about 3 weeks to be able to do so...)

Premium is 91 or better so I don't think it would make that big a deal.

My Pathfinder indicates 91 or higher for best performance. I would think with your mods your needs would be even more. Why don't you try some octane boost and see if it helps?

I only modded the car April, so cant be a year.

I had a problem with misses/rough running and low rpms in high gear. That turned out to be a crossed injecton wire, so that all done...

Ok, then where do you suggest I start looking?

Wires are new
Opti is new (delphi)
Coil is new (standard)
Plugs are new (NGK)
