please help
check engine light came on last night,i got in the car this morning and fired it up it wasnt running as good as it had and as soon as put my put on the gas it cut out,it fires right up again but cuts out as soon as i put my foot on gas...any suggestions?

Post your results here and someone should help, but for proper diagnosis of fault codes you will need a factory service manual and some basic test equipment.

I agree you need to do some investigating and these guys have given you a good start. If I had to take a SWAG just by what you have said, I'd start with a fuel issue - changed the filter lately? Is the fuel pump running OK and how old is it?

well i gave up and sent it to the mechanic,there was no diagnostic plug under the dash,the guy who had it before me put a new dash cluster in.you are right it seems fuel related,i am guessing it is the fuel pump but i will let you know when it is diagnosed..thanks for your help

well its been at the mechanics for a week now,he has changed the rotor,maf sensor and tps sensor,it is running alot better but the check engine light is still on and it is saying that it is running lean..i want my vette back
