Is it normal for C4's to experience road walk at high speeds? It's pretty bad when you're on a small highway even cruising at 70. Makes me a little nervous sometimes with some of the cruddy shoulders we have around here.
That really isn't normal unless the road is really grooved and the wide tires try to track in them. I'd have the front gone over and realigned. Check your tires if they are worn also.
Mine did that driving it home from Philly to CT the NJ turnpike the worst in places. I changed the tires to some Kuhmos Exsta all season ultra HP had the alignment changed to 6 deg caster -0.5 camber all around 1/32 toe in front and 1/8 toe in rear and drives like a different car.
With good tires and all suspension components in good shape, no it's not normal.
But like any old car (you didn't list what year or how many miles you had), parts wear out.
Some of this happens slowly over time and you really don't notice it that much.
My '96 is stable and behaves very well at any speed I've even driven it.

Yes tires! We also found that the run flats do it horribly. We replaced the run flats on our c5 with regular tires and drives like a charm now. My 96 also has no trouble with walking!
Thanks everyone! You've been really helpful. I think I just need to check the air pressure in the tires for starters. Please forgive me for not posting anything about my car. It's an '89 with 153,000+ miles. I know I still need to have it checked out, but I really believe the cruddy road I was driving on had a lot more to do with it than I thought. Drove about a 60 mile round trip just a little while ago, and she drove smooth the whole time.
