Are you going to make this front end for a 96 Coupe if so how much will it be?Originally Posted by Brett Richmond
Well there seems to be a little bit of interest in this kit so I think they will be on a made to order basis. The guy that will do the work restores C1 vettes for a living so there is a whole lot of experience there when it comes to making these things.

Wow thats quite a bit, is that for the whole kit? I looked into ordering one from Japan and the price for the nose was 1300.00 USD or 130,000.00 Yen plus shipping I figure shipping would be another 300.00 from what they said its pretty lightOriginally Posted by kenv

I like the lines of this one too, but like most front ends on Vettes, the damn license plate spoils the lines. If you could get the plate to fold under...

ExploreAs for me, I have the Greenwood now... it has been posted plenty. People either love it or hate it. I would love to find something more functional for the track. Would love to find something with an actual splitter, plenty of airflow capability for engine cooling and brake ducts, and something that actually looks good. The silver one and the Morrison are as good as I have seen along those lines. Wish the silver one was available and the other was cheaper!

home made one for the C4 GTR.

I just never liked body kits. It always looks like someone went out there and bolted something extra to the car. I can always tell when a car has a body kit or extra ground effects on it.Originally Posted by Brett Richmond

Personally, I like the C4 front end just the way it is. Though, I like the older C4 front and rear end the best.

You understand the purpose of this post. It is NOT about whether body kits look better or not. It is about a decent-looking front end for the C4 Corvette that will allow for the needed airflow for cooling of the radiator, intercoolers, brake ducts, & etc in case you need it (such as for racing)!

I've always liked this C4 racer. It looks like a Corvette & allows for airflow! I am currently making a similar open front mold for the 1991 -1996 front bumper for a race car.Originally Posted by frenchyoliver

I too like the early C4's natural state but this one brings it into the 21'st century...Originally Posted by Klondike

it will scrape everything like a snow plow and be all messed up in no time....
with this kit you almost don't need those euro headlights from puegot or what ever that was
plus the paint on this one aint too shabby either

I think the appropriate approach is if you don't have something nice to say, say nothing at all. If a population of people want to have a thread about the beauty of a polk-a-dot paint scheme let them have it. Originally Posted by joshwilson3

There's no sense and nothing productive to be gained by raining on their parade.
Ok this thread is officially back from the dead.
I love this body kit. That is the only kit I would put on my C4.

Has anyone successfully gotten it here and installed it?

Well, that's about the only use for a SnakeSkinner nose. It's so big/deep, I can't imagine you wouldn't bust it up on "normal" streets within a couple of months. Buyer beware!Originally Posted by Coconut

I like the OP kit for all-around use (much better).
I agree the Toledopro kit doesn't look particularly great because of the 2-piece seam -- but it would be cheaper. FWIW, their "tru-flex" brand refers to the fact they use 2 layers vs 3 layers of fiberglass mesh when casting the "tru-flex-designated" parts. (Some of their parts are 3-layer IIRC.
By using 2-layers, their is SOME extra flex but not like urethane. I'm not sure I see the advantage unless you wanted to "pull" the parts in line somehow. OTOH, there would be a weight savings. After talking to TP, I wasn't sold on the option. However, they do make good stuff and I have one of their hoods!

BTW: To the post I quoted, you have to consider the comments about hating body kits should be acceptable. After all, the OP poorly worded the thread title as: "Best C4 front end". Try "Best racing or functional fascia mod" next time.
