Default Climate Control Question

(91 Coupe)Searching for info on air conditioning problem, i see recommendations to clean the ECM. My Climate control has to be re set allot (Pull 2 fuses). It does not want to stay on with the "Auto" fan mode on. I checked to see if i had any codes and none come up. Several threads suggest cleaning the ECM. Where is it? Do I need to pull the climate control itself?

On your '91, the ECM is in the engine bay driver's side against the firewall directly over the battery.

The only way I've ever cleaned mine was to clean the connectors with Dioxit (Radio Shack) or any spray contact cleaner.

YES you need to pull the Climate Control and clean the contacts. There have been several posts on this subject and specifically how to remove the unit and steps for cleaning the contacts.

I may have printed out a copy of the procedure...will look later today and advise via this thread.

I've used the procedure on my '91 coupe and it works!
