1984 owners,please step inside.

all in all, I was the one who made the decision to make them part of my life. it was/is MY passion. as long as my passion is fed I don't give a chromed rat's *** what others think! it would be hard for me to walk up to someone and insult their choice of car. wasn't raised that way. I just chalk it up to bad manners and poor character. ok, ok, C5's have big keisters! but if they love that big Keister, it's THEIR passion.
my '84 doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the newer C4's but it is more of a MAN'S ride for my money! simpler and oh yeah, it always amazes people when I pull off the injector housing and they can see fuel injectors actually jetting the spray right in front of them while it's running! HA! never fails to impress them-never!
enjoy what you like! life demands a thick skin! viva la difference!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
...and it's a corvette and that's all that matters....Thanks - Thanks for driving such a wonderful car, a car that every time I see one I get a great big smile and think back to some of the best times of my life.
Why? Well, the first time I sat in a 1983-4 Vette was at the Knoxville worlds fair. Chevrolet had their "new" concept Corvette there on display. I was in awe....I was 16 and just got my license. The GM rep there saw me drooling over this car and came over to talk to me. I told him I wanted to see it closer up as they had it cordoned off. He told me to hold off for about an hour, they were going to change some of the staging and there might be a chance. Sure enough, while they were changing some of the stage stuff, he let me sit in it. WOW!
In 1985, I graduated high school. At a graduation party given by some of the parents I got an opportunity to drive a new 1985 Vette about 4 miles to pick up two bottles of wine. Vette still had temporary tags in it. I made a promise to myself that ONE DAY, I'll have one.
I am now a Vette owner (2004 C5) but still have a high respect for the C4. It is the C4 that got me hooked!
So as I'm driving and I see a 1984-1985 C4, I'll always wave as a respect to a fine Corvette.
I also thank all owners of C4's who keep em' running to grace the roadways.
Thanks,
CatCam
I'm sure that's what the C5 people are saying about the 96.

The corvette has such an interesting history. Every year is important in the evalution of the vette. I remember the excitement when the 84's came out. I remember my first ride in a 84 C4. My uncle bought an 84 when they first came out. And hey, 84's dont have an opti.

If you ever get up to Ohio... I'd be more than happy to buy you a beer.
I just hate it when I hear some C4 owners doubting that they are driving a great car. It was, It is, and it always will be!
Oh, and If I hear of anybody bashing a C4, I'll be the first to give em' a little education on how many innovations this platform introduced to the automotive industry!
