Default LED Tail lights - Group Purchase

From corveteHID.com comes the group purchase you have all been waiting for! 1984-1996 corvette LED replacement tail lights

Included in this kit is a set of four (4) new Chevrolet Corvette LED tail lights for the 1984 to 1996 Corvette. This is a direct replacement plug and play kit. Installs in about an hour.

Each tail light is made from super bright red LED's, an 1157 plug, durable polycarbonate lens, a solid state circuit board and fully sealed electronics which are epoxy-coated. These lights are designed for 7.7 - 14.0 VDC and are SAE/DOT compliant.

L.E.D. lights last longer, shine brighter and light faster than conventional bulbs, providing additional safety. Plugs directly into stock bulb socket, thus avoiding the need to cut into stock wiring harness.

This kit will certainly wake up the rear end of your corvette and help bring it back into the 21st century! To eliminate the possibility of your turn signals not working, or hyper flash, we recommend that you install an electronic flasher in place of your stock flasher.

These items are being offered as a group purchase. The introductory price for 1984-1990 will be $129.00 plus S&H. The introductory price for 1991-1996 will be $149.00 plus S&H.Once all 10 spots have been filled, production of these lights will begin and you can expect your tail lights to ship in 1-2 weeks after that time.

Halos are also available. $179 plus S&H

Are the lense covers sealed to the housing, I have some clear covers that I would like to use instead of the red ones. It would look like this...

Also, if they are not a sealed complete set, would you offer a discount and you can keep the red lense covers?

I would check state law before putting clear lenses on..Most state require red lenses..WW

As you can see in the picture below, the lights are completely sealed in epoxy. Perhaps you can de-laminate the circuit board & epoxy from the red plastic covers, although I have never heard of anyone doing that yet.

I have been waiting for this!

Can anyone post the best way to install these on the early (round tail light) C4's. I have heard that it is a bear. Almost as bad a doing the heater core. Something about sacrificing the arms of a small child with long arms to get to it thru the license plate?

May I also suggest that the vendor consider providing the electronic flash replacement as an option for the package so that we don't have to hunt around for it?

Through the license plate is the best way I have found. And no, it's not the easiest thing to do and will leave your arms hurtin' a bit. But remember, chicks dig scars

Ok, I'll sign up. Not 100% sure yet but I'm leaning towards going with the Halo's for my 90.

The Halos look insanely good, however it's very tricky to catch them right on the camera

Just for you, I will throw in a box of glow in the dark bandages and several feet of gauze

I just took a look at my vette and it seems like it would be pretty easy to get to the bolts through the gas door. You will need to take the four screws out that hold the door and the black part but I was able to get to the tail light screws that are on the inside. Still will need those bandages tho

I'm gonna put my order in for the Halos now

Thanks.
We would really like to make the 91-96 tails as halos as well, or perhaps something similar to halos. If we do get around to creating something new for the 91-96 tails, I'll be sure to let you know.

I should be able to get around to installing a set of the LED tails on a 91-96 vette this weekend. Should have pictures up by next week

Thanks for the interest

Hmmm..this is very tempting - wonder which would look better on my white vert - the regular or halos? Might look weird though with the regular center brake light? Do you offer LED for that?

I think they would both look great! I personally love the halos on my ride, especially since no one else has these

We do not sell the third brake light for the C4, and I don't believe anyone sells that particular style LED light either. If you would like a custom 3rd brake light just shoot me a PM and I'm sure we can work something out
