Some ahole stuck a screwdriver or something like it into the top of my 1992 vert :cuss :cuss :cuss and left behind a 1/4 inch hole!
I am going to replace it and the headliner with a Robbins cloth unit with the glass window kit. Have any of you done this and what should it cost?
Thanks for your response!
I did it myself too. That Flame Red guy was a big help. I dont think it would be $1400 Im thinking more like $800-1000 topsto get it done P & L. Although the headliner is super expensive I paid $100 for a used one in decent shape and was grateful. Good luck with it.
I have now received written bids (Faxed to me) from as low as $900.00 to as high as $1900.00 for replacing the cloth top using a glass conversion kit and including a new headliner. Seals and weathertrip needed will be additional. It seems the higher bids came from insurance reccomended shops and the lowest came from shops ran by "forign" speaking people. Whats up with the huge difference? I am going to visit with the $900.00 bid and find out what brand/quality he is using then judge his ability and shop. I will also ask to see his sample of his work and warranty. $900.00 seems to be a great deal.
Anything else to look out for?
WOW! I am getting a new quality stayfast top, heated, tinted, glass upgrade and headliner for $900.00 installed. It wouldnt pay to do this myself!
$475.00 for top and glass kit $200.00 for headliner $225.00 labor
It pays to shop around. :D If you are in the Atlanta area and need this service email me for details! :seeya
