I love my standard Hurst ball, but the car is white, so it's just....right.
thanks for the pics, is the shifter in gear, is it a short shifter? is it easier to install than the stock **** and how does it feel? i have a black interior, it will be the only white thing in the car, but i think the contrast will be cool, and besides it is reversible....
It's a stock shifter with the Hurst ball. It was way more difficult to take off the old one, than to put on the new one, but if you need help just do a search, there's been lots of threads about it.
i think when it comes down to a shift handle, that the delrin 3" or 4" tall, 1.5" diameter examples from Hardbar are ideal!!!!
I have a short shifter (B&M) in the car, and it made the height of the shifter VERY short, ao I went with the 4" tall Delrin to make it "just" right. I purchased my Delrin **** from ebay (same guy that supplies Hardbar) for much less than hardbar's asking price.
the ball is not something that seems to "fit" my hand very well. Nor is the stock "cube".
take a look on the auction block for shift ***** for corvettes. they have the standard one's that I purchased, and even ***** that are slightly tappered (bigger on the top than toward the bottom).
My delrin **** is theaded and installs just like a traditional **** would. I do not have reverse lock out though. It feels awesome! nice little texture to it, doesn't heat up like alloy *****...
I HIGHLY recommend these ***** (also popular with the c5/c6 community-along with OTHER makes and models).
