Default Time to Sell... Advice?

Well it everyone's dream the day they get their Vette which started for me in 1994. But now its time to end the dream and become a Daddy  So regretfully I need to sell the C4 and my 1997 Chevy Tahoe and invest in a family car :cry

So...

My 1994 LT1 Coupe has 61k miles and is in good condition. Not mint, but real good. I would like to get $15-16K for it... do you think that's possible  I see the KBB price which is never fair :bs , I am just curious what the current retail market is for this year Vette.

Anyone have any advise on selling prices? Any one interested?

I don't get it -- why do you have to sell the cars? I have a 21 month old little girl and I drive my Vette and my wife drives a 2000 Durango. Of course, my daughter doesn't ride in the Vette (airbag), but the truck is a great family car. You have a '97 Tahoe -----> family car :yesnod: . There, problem solved :yesnod: ;)

You don't need to sell. I have a wife and 3 kids. The kids think it's a special deal to take a ride in the vette. The wife runs in tow in the minivan. Tell the wife you still need a commuter car for work. :)

If you really think you have to sell, 15-16K is a fair price i think

$15-16,000 is fair.
I received 15,000 trading my 94 for an 02.

My (first) daughter was born in September. I bought a vette a week ago.

My wife and I talked about it, and decided that 99% of the time, only one of us was in my car. So why let that 1% of the time dictate our decision?

When it is the three of us, it is the family car.

After driving the vette home, I am in a good mood, and my wife likes that.

You don't have to sell it. Just sell the tahoe or use it. Problem solved.

Seriously, don't sell it .. the market is TOO low right now, you won't get as much as you want .. and you'll regret selling it later on anyway. Since you say you want to sell the vette AND the tahoe to get a family car.. that means that one of these is an extra. I think I see which one would need to go. Sell the Tahoe and get a honda accord used. Those things will NEVER die!!!

unless you owe money, I would keep them...

the tahoe is more then capable to be a family ride... gee, thats what all the soccer moms are driving today!

I would then keep the vette as a commuter...

The only way I would sell my Vette is to buy another Vette! My daughter loves to drive in the Vette and sees it as a special treat when she gets to go for a spin! Then again, I only have her part time and she is 6 years old already (and my 92 only has a single drivers side air bag). I also have a SUV Exployer that I use as a daily driver and my wife has a two door Benz that does have a back seat - although small. I would sell the SUV and get a Honda or Camry - keep the Vette as your daily driver.
