Default Question on Oil Pressure

I noticed my gauge seemed to be acting funny on the dash for the oil pressure. Before it would be about mid to higher mid in range during driving and teeter close to 0 when I was stopped. Now it looks like it teeters around 0 even while driving. She sounds and seems like shes running strong and I just had her oil changed so I'm thinking it might just be something with the gauge...others have crapped out on me. Any suggestions what to check?

Hopefully, just loose wiring or a bad sensor. But I would find out for sure before I drove it much. Just because it runs good doesn't mean that the pressure isn't low and you aren't damaging the engine.

I wouldnt drive until I CONFIRMED that it indeed is the guage. If the pressure indeed is low, you could possibly save the engine with just a main and rod bearing kit. If you drive it with low pressure, you risk scoring your crank, or worst, throwing a rod.

Good luck!
