Corvette Summer
I know it's not a C4 but does anyone know what happened to the Vette used in the movie "Corvette Summer"?
I loved that car

It was on their catalog cover. I don't know if MAM owns that atrocity.

What were those customizers drinking when they designed this thing. IMO they butchered a C3 Corvette even if it is Corvette History.

Correct, it is owned by Mike Yager of Mid America Motorworks, it is in his 'My Garage' Museum
Here are a couple pictures of it when I was there in August 2009

Wow, in my memory that car looked so much cooler. It probably was a function of Mark Hamill starring in the movie (I was about 10 years old, and hadn't had nearly enough of Star Wars) and it being the first "car" movie I'd ever seen...probably one of the first of ANY kind of movie I'd ever seen...don't think I was allowed to see "Smoky and the Bandit" till I was a little older, haha.
I feel about that car the way I feel about a lot of the custom built V-Twin motorcycles...most of them aren't my taste, downright gaudy and ugly, to be honest, but I appreciate the work that went into them.

If I had the means, I would grab it up along with the Death Race 2000 vette!!!!
Both are beautiful cars for what they were built for.
I had no idea that MAM had ownership of the Death Race car.

Corvette Summer is an all-time classic. When I was a kid I thought that car was the end of the world. Now I can see plain as day that it's really ugly. Don't get me wrong, it's still awesome.

Well, I like it. I live here in So. Cal, and I remember when they made that movie. Back in the 70's lots of cars were customized like that.

I was 12 years old when it came out and I loved the way it looked. I have to admit now though after looking at it today, it does have a very strange looking front end but cant shake it I would love to have it

They wanted to freak out drivers behind them
Also made it easier to umm...talk to people walking by.
The way they did it was pretty hack though.
They didn't more the steering box but used a motorcycle chain instead.
