I like the split window idea as well. Not sure of the look of the "Movie" car though.

I agree with you about taming it down a bit but GM as had some really ugly cars jump off the drawing boards and into showrooms. They produced some of the ugliest cars in the 80's and 90's. Cavalier, Celebrity and the Impala were disasters. I remember seeing some of these for the first time and saying "what were they thinking!

The Camaro is pretty sweet but I think they over did the rear of that car

I love the split window of 63 but it seems very telling the state of automotive design for GM to reach back nearly 50 years for style, instead of producing future classics today. Oh well can't be as bad as Ford, who from my perspective have styled their way into a corner with the Mustang.

Now that it has done retro, where does that car go from here?

Well when will the C7 actually come out, 5 years, 7 years? I can see a review camera with an OLED screen where the old mirror used to be showing up in prototypes of today and corvettes of 2016.

back in my senior year, I loved the looks of the '63 split window but it was more in the spirit of the new design- the whole car looked HOT!
it was an exciting, different and lusty-looking ride!!

that being said about split windows, it falls on the driver to cope with limited vision and who the hell wants to drive and check a tv screen???I want a live image!

retro's nice but what's next? fender skirts?

some things are best appreciated in the past.....

Id have to see it in person before I could "embrace" the proposed change. Geez fellers remember all the initial hate and discontent when the C6 had static headlights which was a departure from the C5 design.

Im liking the look of the "new" Camaros, I think they will get it right

Now I'd be happy for the styling to take inspiration from the Stingray, rather than the Sting Ray. - Like the black car in these pics, or C6-Stingray's mockup.

Split window I bet will be on the C7 concept but not for the production version.
Anyway by then aren't we all supposed to be extinct?
