Default '93 Will not start...code 16

Our 93 will not run, will not start. Engine spins over fine. Fuel pressure is 42-43 psi and stays there. Codes show the 16 code...distributor ignition system fault.

What do I do next?
Thanks. Paul.

I've been reading threads on the subject and understand what you're saying. The sensitivity to moisture seems to be an issue. We'll probably have the dealership do it(the car is low-mileage,mint).
On the thermostat--isn't 160 a tad low? What is original...185,215?

Thanks guys, for all the help.

Original is 185 and if everything is stock just leave it that way. Shame to have to use a dealer as they will prrobably be around $1200, not counting a new WP. What area of the country are you in?

original is 185; and do youself a favor and just dont ask. There are a million threads and/or opinions on installing the 160 degree t-stat. It will start yet another long and ugly battle on the forum between the guys that swear they get performace gains from it, and from the guys that think they are nuts. If you liked the way you ran with the stock t-stat; then just get a new one. JMO

OK. Let's dodge the thermostat scuffle.

Again...thanks.

Definitely not close enough to me. Maybe check the local Vette clubs to find a good shop other than a dealer. Might save a few dollars.
