What is the original headliner like for the targa top. I have an 86 and the inside of the top just has velcro strips on it.Can you buy the actual piece to attach the headliner material or just make it. It seems like you could cut down on some interior noise. Just wondering what some of you have done. Thanks

Go to youtube and search for Wheeler Dealer C4 Corvette. This is a show from England and they spent an entire show fixing some problems on an 84 and one of them is the one you describe. He put in some material with adhesive and it turned out looking great.
i just did my targa headliner which was sagging real bad. i went to a fabric store and bought headliner material (foam lined fabric). i then bought a can of spray adhesive at an auto parts store. i scraped off the old headliner, sprayed on some adhesive, and pressed on the new headliner fabric. i trimmed off the excess fabric about 1/2 inch oversize then used one of my wife's metal spatulas to tuck the excess under the edge of the targa top. it looks like it came from the factory. cost was under $20 and takes under an hour taking your time. just remember to tape off the edges of your top to protect from over spray.
